About
M. Josephe is the fourth daughter and seventh child of Jean Baptiste and M. Marguerite. She marries at age 19 to a 20 year old Louis. Louis is the younger brother (by one year) of Joseph Deslandes Champigny, husband to M. Josephe’s sister [5.8] M. Louise Amable. M. Louise Amable marries Joseph 16 days before M. Josephe marries Louis.
They start to try to have children within the year, but M. Josephe does not have great luck. Out of eight children, six do not survive into adulthood. Only one that we know of is old enough to marry.
